TBD Summer Collection: Your Official Guide

Read on for the full guide to your summer wines, including suggested food and music pairings - with links!

Friday (or any day) happy hour

The mood

It’s been a long week of zoom calls and you’re ready to celebrate and unwind.

The wine

Grenachista, Grenache Noir Pet Nat

The pairings

Menu: This wine doesn't necessarily need food, but that doesn't mean you can't make a plan for later. If you're in Philly, take your bike out to the banks of the Schuylkill river and drink while watching sunset. Then go find yourself some awesome eats. We recommend Sally for sourdough pizza and more natural wine. If you're in SF, pick your favorite park (Alamo Square and Golden Gate Park top our list) then continue the party at one of these Infatuation-recommended outdoor spots.

Saturday picnic in the park

The mood

The weather is beautiful - should you go on a hike? Nah, grab your friends and picnic outside instead.

The wine

Lise & Bertrand Jousset, Rose a Lies

The pairings

Menu: head to your local gourmet grocer (DiBruno Bros in Philly or Bi-Rite in SF) to grab some fancy snacks - charcuterie, creamy cheese, castelvetrano olives, crackers, baguette. And whatever else catches your eye :)

Sunday BBQ

The mood

You’re vaccinated and after a year of drinking by yourself and your quarantine pod, it’s time to throw a party!

The wine

Weingut Brand, Pet Nat Rose

The pairings

Menu: hotdogs and hamburgers, BBQ chicken, grilled eggplant, potato salad, chips and dip. If in Philly grab patties and dogs from our woman-owned butchery Primal Supply and grill outside or take a short trip up 95 to the northeast to smell and eat the authentic hickory smoked BBQ at Sweet Lucy's. If in SF, visit old-school butchery Little City Market for your burgers and sausages. Or head across the bay bridge to Everett and Jones an Oakland classic.
